THE UNKNOWN GOD
Here
they used to have
an altar to an Unknown God.
Now they have
many, many churches dedicated
to that still unknown God.
What have all their gold and silver,
their icons, their flags and their pride
to do with you, O Lord of the Open Road,
of those with
nowhere to lay their head?
